The Communications’ Coordinator is responsible for the execution of Trellis’ communication strategy. This includes actively seeking out impact stories and transforming them into blog posts, print collateral, videos, articles and more.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Lead the content development, planning, scheduling and engagement on all social media channels.
- Create written content for a variety of mediums including staff bulletins, donor communications, blog posts, social media and program participant materials.
- Research, interview and write program participant impact stories.
- Assist in the maintenance of the communication work plan schedule and the departmental planning calendar**.**:

- Understand current social media trends and maximize our platforms to reach relevant audiences.
- Design collateral for Trellis programs when needed.
- Support with content planning, interviewing, writing and editing for both ‘Branching Out,’ Trellis’ semi-annual publication and the annual Trellis Report to Community.
- Other duties as required.

**Knowledge and Skills Expectations**
- A degree or education in communications, marketing or publication relations is preferred.
- 3 years of relevant experience, combined with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design.
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms; including but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing.
- A passion for building a reputable brand through relationship building, storytelling, developing issues-based content and community engagement.
- Event project management and support.
- Able to work flexible hours according to the needs of the organization.
- Position does require travel between Trellis locations as well as within the community. Ability to commute, by personal vehicle or through confident use of transit, will be necessary.

**Reporting Relationship**

This position reports to the Communications and Engagement Lead.
