
Community Coordinator

The Community Coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks that may include intake and caseload management, managing family service contracts, supporting families, supervising Aides, coordinating service delivery including meetings, record keeping and report writing, and working collaboratively with the service delivery team, including therapists and collaborating with the broader Community & In-Home Team.
- Full-time, Mon-Fri, 8:30am - 4:00pm with hours required until 6:00pm based on service delivery
- Hybrid role (home, community and office), based out of Pacekids north office (808 55th Ave NE Calgary, AB)

**Responsibilities**:
Include but not limited to:
- Provide day-to-day direct supervision of a team of Aides and work collaboratively with colleagues to support and supervise the entire Aide team
- Provide support, coaching and feedback on the work they’re doing with the families and their weekly home program plans based on the goals of the program
- Facilitate completion of and reviewing and approving of timesheets, vacation requests, expense and mileage claims etc.
- Complete required performance management, including annual performance reviews
- Delivery of services in alignment with processes, procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Managing contracts for the delivery of services to families
- Communicate with all parties involved to ensure accurate tracking and record-keeping of service delivery hours
- Support the therapists and Aides to enable parents to transfer skills into their home environment to ensure they feel confident in managing their child’s diverse needs
- Promote positive programming that will lead to achievement of program goals and positive outcomes for the child and family
- Regular home visits to support the family and the service delivery team in achievement of the program goals
- Determine family eligibility for the program and facilitate the intake and caseload management process
- Establish and manage government contracts with Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD)
- Serve as the first point of contact for families (clients), Aides, and other members of the service delivery team
- Coordinate and attend meetings with families, service delivery team, and/or FSCD
- Promote positive programming that will lead to independence for the children and their families
- Ensure accurate and timely billing and record management
- Providing clear communication to all stakeholders, with a focus on customer service and professionalism
- Note This opportunity will initially primarily focus on intake duties and carrying a smaller caseload. As part of the intake duties the positions will also respond to inquiries about Community & In-Home programs from familes and community partners; including supporting requests for presentations or booths at various events and work with the ECS Coordinators to support ECS intake as required during peak registration periods.
What You Bring
- Undergraduate degree preferred with relevant experience working in an office environment
- Experience working with preschool and school-aged children with diverse needs and their families
- Strong administrative, customer service, communication (written and verbal), organization, and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computers/technology
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and liaise with all stakeholders, managing different personalities and individual priorities while fostering a collaborative team environment
- Current Alberta driver’s license and access to a vehicle during work hours
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with an emphasis on self-initiative, patience, maturity, and tact
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Flexibility is essential given the variety of children’s abilities, family needs, and conditions
