The Carrefour Communautaire Francophone de London is a multi-service agency offering a program that supports workforce development in the childcare sector by providing training, work placement and support to job seekers ready to take their first step towards a career and to incumbents working in the childcare services sector.

Reporting to the Project Manager, caseworkers will support participants’ training throughout the project from the registration until the job seekers obtain employment or progression in employment for incumbents.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Verify clients' and employers' eligibility for our services and register them with our program.
- Develop an agreed-upon service plan with realistic and measurable goals with each participant.
- Meet regularly with the participant to assess progress and adjust the service plan as needed.
- Inform participants about the different pathways to employment in the field of early childhood education.
- Assist clients with the development of job search tools such as resumes and cover letters, and provide one-on-one coaching to help participants succeed in the interview.
- Liaise with project and community partners to make appropriate referrals, as required, to help participants achieve their goals.
- Participate in virtual or in-person workshops and recruitment activities identified by your supervisor.
- Write case notes and maintain documentation and records including contact information, activity, and progress of participants.
- Screen, identify and match participants to an available position based on the employer's needs.
- Conduct workplace visits to ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
- Provide participants and employers with information on employment standards, human rights, workplace safety, and other related information.
- Inform employers about financial incentives, prepare placement agreements and submit payment requests following established procedures.
- Monitor the progress of work placements and provide support to employers and participants to ensure that Job Placements are positive.
- Participate in case conference meetings to assess the achievement of identified and planned outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with team members, project partners and community organizations to ensure participant success.

**Requirements**:

- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a college diploma in Marketing, Social

Service Work, or other related training.
- Knowledge of employment development and sales methods.
- Be able to successfully promote clients and their skills to employers.
- Experience facilitating virtual workshops or in person.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing in both English and

French.
- Able to manipulate online communication platforms such as Zoom or MS Teams and in the use of computers and various software such as Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with a diverse population and clients facing barriers to employment.
- Experience in case management and positive conflict resolution.
- A valid Ontario driver's license and flexible schedule.
