Durrell Communications is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgable public relations Account Manager to join our team The Account Manager is responsible for client branding, PR related initiatives and communication of our client’s business activities to their stakeholders and the public. Working as the liaison between the client and the Durrell Communications team, they ensure all work is completed and build a strong relationship between the company and the client. They are knowledgeable about all aspects of Durrell Communications and its services, highlighting new ways that we may offer clients greater success through Public Relations, Media, Marketing and Communications. They are comfortable discussing contracts and proposals with existing clients. They are responsible for ensuring the internal team meets deadlines, represents the brand voice and satisfies client needs and goals. Through the contributions of the Account Manager, client KPIs are reached, and the internal teams are effective, timely and successful.

**What you will be doing**

In the position of Account Manager, successful employees will work towards developing strategies to better serve our clients. They connect clients to reporters and publications in order to drive increased revenue, brand awareness, reputation and overall media and networked exposure for the organization. They oversee the representation of the organizational image to the client’s customers, shareholders and community. They build influence and reach of the client through crafting sponsorship and speaking opportunities, award and recognition, and event visibility.
- Client Relationship Management:_
- Serve as the lead point of contact for clients, including all account management matters and build strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Ensure the overall client services delivery presents an exceptional customer service experience with timely and successful solutions according to client needs and objectives
- Execute on client strategy by setting manageable timelines and deliverables for team members, helping to solve problems that affect the service and efficiency of client projects
- Monitor the effectiveness of the implemented client strategy on a monthly basis and course correct to ensure strategy objectives are met.
- Project Management:_
- Develop timelines and oversee execution on all client projects, monitoring deliverables and billable time
- Ensure effective resource allocation among departments to meet client goals and objectives
- Client and Public Relations Strategy:_
- Liaise and collaborate with all team members as needed and help provide creative solutions to communication problems
- Convert client strategy into an executional plan in coordination
- Content Production:_
- Develop or direct the creation of written materials including press releases, Q& A, media standby statements, fact sheets, pitch scripts, articles, blogs, case studies, newsletters and other collateral on brand and corporate issues as required
- Creates content that is consistent and appropriately reflects client brand and standards
- Evaluates all forms of content with respect to client style, organization, accuracy and consistency.
- Other:_
- Monitors publicity and conducts research to find out concerns and expectations of client stakeholders in order to create both a traditional and non-traditional media strategy including influencer marketing and podcasting.
- Provide monthly reporting to the leadership team that analyzes each client’s statistics and provides recommendations

**What we require**
- 3+ years of experience in public relations, journalism or digital marketing role
- 2+ years of experience in project management, or similar client facing capacity
- 1+ experience in media or journalism industry

**Skills for success**
- Exceptional project management skills including organizational, strategic, planning and implementation
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines and execute flawlessly on projects in a fast-paced, often pressured environment and see a project through to completion
- Proven skills to interact effectively with employees to direct workflow, assess performance and assign duties according to client contract
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution and people management skills
- High degree of integrity, confidentiality and accountability
- Ability to plan, organize and effectively present ideas and concepts to groups.
- Ability to assimilate information from a variety of sources, analyze information and recommend courses of action to be taken
- Superb writing, content development and editing skills, that is of high quality and result driven
- Exceptional project management skills including organizational, strategic, planning and implementation skills
