Job Title: Account Manager
We are seeking a skilled Account Manager to provide exceptional client-focused account support and relationship management to external clients and internal consultants.
The Account Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing and retaining an assigned business block
- Providing strategic thinking and innovative solutions
- Building strong collaborative relationships with external and internal colleagues
- Conducting plan member education sessions when requested
- Ensuring necessary tools, benchmarking, and renewal reports are prepared and delivered to clients
- Developing communications required for plan sponsors and their employees
- Participating in industry conferences, seminars, and other events to promote services and stay up-to-date on industry trends
- Maintaining deep knowledge of administration, including in-house and carrier best practices
- Defining service standards with clients and managing account lifecycle according to set service agreements
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in group benefits in a client-facing role
- Ability to act as a brand ambassador or key liaison for cross-functional services
- Understanding of the group benefits industry, including funding arrangements
- Completion or ability to complete GBA and/or Life License Qualification Program (preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong team player who works well with internal and external stakeholders
- Solutions and results-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables as identified promptly
- Proficiency and comfort working with multi-channel technology
- Valid driver's license and vehicle
- Strong communication skills - ability to articulate ideas, provide instructions, and actively listen to team members and colleagues
