Dentons is currently seeking a Talent Coordinator to join our Talent team in the Vancouver office. **This role requires a minimum presence of three days in the office**.

**Position Summary**

Based in our Vancouver location and a member of the national Talent team, the Talent Coordinator delivers effective client service and solutions to all Dentons members. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to internal inquiries, providing confidential support to the Talent team and for the maintenance of data. This role maintains strict confidentiality of all information and works collaboratively with other team members to facilitate seamless service for our internal clients. This role also supports both local and national engagement activities and works closely with internal committees on events.

Generally, the hours of work for this role will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; due to the nature of the role, some flexibility may be required.

**Responsibilities**
- First point of contact for all questions and queries from Dentons members related to Firm policies and procedures;
- Provides a high level of customer service to meet internal client expectations;
- Prepares correspondence, letters, documents and employment contracts in accordance with standards;
- Collaborates with Manager, Talent Advisory on bi-weekly payroll and provides support related to leaves management;
- Processes data entry in HRIS and proactively liaises with employees and managers to ensure accurate records;
- Ensures the confidentiality and integrity of information, tracks data and enters all transactions ensuring information is complete and accurate;
- Produces and updates various reports; includes both regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports, as requested;
- Coordinates various internal Firm engagement activities including, staff appreciation, retirement receptions, volunteering, and holiday/summer parties;
- Supports leaders with team building initiatives and sources unique ideas to foster a positive and collaborative culture;
- Supports onboarding and offboarding processes by collaborating with various internal teams to complete all relevant steps and activities;
- Conducts and presents new hire orientation, benefits and RRSP sessions;
- Processes all relevant forms related to benefits;
- Processes employee referral payments and vendor invoices;
- Creates and maintains electronic personnel files;
- Provides administrative support to the Talent team, including managing inboxes, scheduling meetings, processing expenses, preparing cheque requisitions, routine scanning and filing;
- Actively participate in team meetings and provide support to peers to ensure consistency in the provision of support to internal clients and;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources Management; working toward CHRP designation an asset;
- 2-3 years of HR administrative experience;
- Experience with an HRIS, preferably SuccessFactors, is considered a strong asset;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within the Firm;
- Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail;
- Ability to speak in front of a crowd and run local events with confidence;
- Consistently meet the needs of clients in high volume and fast paced environment;
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly and to ensure they are clearly communicated to an audience;
- Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented;
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships;
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills;
- Politically and culturally sensitive;
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills;
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts;
