The Opportunity

As the Strategic Account Manager, reporting to the Vice President of Sales and working closely with the Producer, the Operations and Marketing team, you will be responsible for meeting the retention and profitability targets for our new and existing client base. In this role, you will provide a cross-connection through sales, leadership, and portfolio management in ensuring best in class service for our clients. Supported by our Sales Enablement team with industry leading research tools and programs, you’ll have access to timely insight and information and will be responsible for ensuring results and solutions, and in conjunction with the Producer, all business objectives and activities aligning with the growth and retention of the assigned portfolio.

**Position Duties and Responsibilities**:
Leads all aspects of client service and marketing pertaining to the renewal of book of business. Uses judgment and creativity based on industry experience to produce favorable results and solutions to address clients’ insurance needs.

Responsible for overall compliance and retention of accounts in assigned book of business and relationship expansion in accordance with established goals.

Acquires understanding of clients’ business and insurance objectives and critically analyzes and compares insurance plans and HUB services to determine suitability for additional opportunities.

Identifies opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell of other HUB products and services where appropriate.

Negotiates terms, conditions, and pricing directly with insurance carriers.

When counseling clients on appropriate coverage, will assess risks based on clients’ situation and determine proper coverage to insure and mitigate those risks.

Leads resolution of escalated complex service issues between clients and insurance carriers that require policy interpretation and experience-based judgment to resolve.

Executive Priorities

Undertake a portfolio analysis on the multi-million-dollar book of business focused on:
segmenting the book of business.

identifying opportunities for account rounding through cross-sell and up-sell.

taking a client-centric approach to risk analysis and risk mitigation.

Working in conjunction with the Producer to build relationships with the existing client base.

Build professional and collaborative relationships with carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues through strategic business improvement for the client.

Supporting new business acquisition through consultation and advisory services on complex accounts.

Working in conjunction with our Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Marketing to identify and develop product & program offerings tailored to the client base.
