As the regulatory body for Social Workers in British Columbia, BCCSW acts within its statutory authority to develop and administer policies, procedures and practices that reflect the mandate of the College, which is to serve and protect the public by superintending the practice of social work in British Columbia. Founded in 2008, BCCSW is governed by a 12-member Board comprised of four public members and eight elected members and provides regulatory oversight to over 6,300 province wide registered social workers.

**General Overview**:
**Primary Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Maintains knowledge of the BC _Social Workers Act_, relevant regulations, policies, and College bylaws and remain updated with changes as they occur within the area of professional regulation
- Assists prospective registrants with any inquiries related to registration, including eligibility requests and interpretation of registration requirements
- Compiles, submits, and tracks criminal record check authorizations and results pursuant to the _Criminal Records Review Act_
- Fulfills verification of registration/licensure and letter of good standing requests from current or former BCCSW registrants
- Ensures the registrant database is maintained with full and accurate information about registrants and applicants
- Assists with the development, maintenance and improvement of the database management system, online portal and BCCSW website
- Coordinates BCCSW’s social media communication on registration-related topics such as registration process, renewals, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements
- Plays an integral role in writing and designing BCCSW newsletters
- Assists with the development, maintenance and improvement of registration-related policies and procedures.
- Provides organizational support to BCCSW, including organizing staff events
- Assists the Director, Registration and the Manager, Registration with other related tasks
- Provides staff support to other functions of the College as required
- Any other duties that may be assigned

**Education/Experience/Skills**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an office-based environment, providing administrative support relevant to duties of this position
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and database management systems
- Strong verbal and written communications skills to effectively inform impacted stakeholders of relevant requirements based on applicable legislation, bylaws, regulations and policies
- Demonstrated ability to foster respectful and collaborative working relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Understanding of professional regulatory functions

**What We Offer**:
The salary range for this position is $45,220 - $59,800. In addition to the base salary, the College also
