**Guest Service Representative - Full Time / Part Time**
Description: As a Hotel Guest Service Representative, you are the first point of contact for guests and provide essential services to ensure their stay is comfortable and enjoyable. You will handle guest check-in and check-out, answer inquiries, provide information about the hotel and its amenities, and assist with any guest requests or issues.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Guest Check-In/Check-Out**:Greet guests upon arrival in a friendly and welcoming manner. Collect necessary guest information, including identification and payment details. Assign rooms, issue keys, and provide information about room features and hotel policies. Process check-outs, collect payments, and handle any billing inquiries.
- **Customer Service**:Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally. Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and dining options. Offer assistance with luggage, transportation, and other guest needs.
- **Administrative Duties**:Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, reservations, and room assignments. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and balance daily cash reports. Complete paperwork related to guest accounts, billing, and reservations.
- **Security and Safety**:Monitor the hotel's security system and report any suspicious activities. Follow safety and emergency procedures, including evacuations, if necessary.
- **Problem Resolution**:Resolve guest complaints and issues efficiently, aiming for guest satisfaction. Notify management of any unresolved problems or unusual situations.
- **Collaboration**:Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel staff to fulfill guest requests and ensure room readiness.
- **Front Desk Operations**:Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and well-maintained. Maintain a working knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and promotions.
**Requirements**:
- Preferred Post-Secondary Education Experience with Opera an asset Must have previous skills in Guest Services (i.e. Cashier).
- Must be mathematically inclined. Computer literate. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays.
