**Description**

The **Haskayne School of Business** is currently seeking a Full-time Regular **Recruitment Specialist**.

The Recruitment Specialist in the Haskayne School of Business (HSB) is a member of the Marketing and Recruitment team and reports to the Director, Marketing and Recruitment. The scope of the Recruitment team focuses primarily on the proactive recruitment and conversion of qualified applicants for HSB's current and future graduate degree programs, including the Haskayne MBA, Executive MBA, and Master of Management. The role also provides some admissions support to the Admissions Team in the process of conversion.

The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for driving the achievement of enrolment targets across Haskayne's graduate degree programs. The consequences of not meeting enrolment targets have a significant financial impact on HSB's operations.

Due to operational requirements of this position, the incumbent is expected to work in-office and in the community. The primary hours of work for this position are Monday to Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., 7 hours per day (35 hours per week); however, there is a need for flexibility to host and/or attend evening and weekend events throughout the year. The incumbent must also be willing to travel both domestically and internationally as required. This position is part of the AUPE Collective Bargaining Unit.

**Summary of Key Responsibilities** (job functions include but are not limited to):
Recruitment:

- Develop and execute an integrative recruitment strategy, supporting plans and budgets, and delivering on targets
- Develops strong relationships with stakeholders in target markets (e.g., businesses, alumni, international recruitment organizations) resulting in a sustainable recruitment strategy
- Leads the recruitment of qualified prospective graduate students for HSB through the development and implementation of recruitment activities including information sessions, graduate fairs, professional fairs, regional/ national/ international recruitment activities, and meeting with industry contacts
- Leads the planning and implementation of presentations at public information sessions and other event-related recruitment initiatives
- Proactively identifies new recruitment opportunities including events, marketing tactics, and strategic alliances
- Develops and updates recruitment materials including information session presentations and other recruitment presentations as required
- Identify prospective students and manage one-on-one ongoing contact and engagement throughout the recruitment and conversion process
- Actively track prospective students via CRM system
- Actively maintain a presence across key social media accounts, including LinkedIn
- Interlocks with Program Directors, Marketing, Communications, and Admissions teams on an ongoing basis

Conversion:

- As required, support the HSB Admissions team in the assessment of applicant files and making admissions recommendations for those meeting stipulated program criteria
- Work with the HSB Admissions team to identify and prepare special admissions cases for review by the Admissions Committee
- Manage student scholarship assessment, interpret, and communicate the process and eligibility requirements associated with the Faculty of Graduate Studies Scholarship competition. Award and communicate to scholarship recipients
- Deliver on targets as identified by the School

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business development, relationship management and / or sales in a competitive industry and for a discerning customer
- Bachelor's degree required. A master's degree in business is considered an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of higher-education recruitment enrolment trends, international education systems, and awareness of the social, cultural and economic issues which affect graduate student enrolment outcomes
- Experience in developing and delivering events and presentations
- High level of personal effectiveness, strong communication, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Experience with data analysis and reporting (e.g. gathering and interpreting market data and trends to inform recruitment strategies)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a results-driven environment is an asset
- Experience with CRM technology platforms preferred
- Intermediate to advanced skills using MS Office
