**Description**

The **Haskayne School of Business** is currently seeking a Full-time Limited Term **Program Lead, Centre for Excellence in Professional Accounting **for approximately 12 months.

The Haskayne School of Business, renowned for its strong focus on impactful student experiences, thought leadership, and deep-rooted community connections, serves over 5,000 students and maintains a global network of 25,000 alumni.

The Centre for Excellence in Professional Accounting at the Haskayne School of Business (CEPA) aims to actively promote the growth of accounting students and professionals. CEPA is dedicated to pioneering progressive teaching methods, conducting innovative research, and actively engaging with the community. By advancing the craft of accounting, CEPA supports the Haskayne School of Business in becoming the most forward-looking accounting program in Canada.

The Program Lead plays a critical role in advancing strategic initiatives that inspire interest in the accounting profession, support student success, and foster inclusivity. The position involves collaborating with a range of partner's ¿including the CEPA Academic Director, other academic colleagues, industry professionals, Indigenous communities, and external consultant's ¿to develop and deliver impactful programs. The work requires a strong blend of project management, stakeholder engagement, and budget oversight to ensure the success of initiatives aimed at strengthening the future pipeline of accounting professionals.

**Summary of Key Responsibilities** (job functions include but are not limited to):

- Lead Program Initiatives: Oversee the implementation of the 'Choose Accounting' Initiative in collaboration with external consultants and the Haskayne School of Business Marketing & Communications team. Manage the development of a comprehensive multimedia campaign, including video content, web presence, and promotional materials, while engaging students through related events and activities.
- Indigenous Engagement: Work with the Haskayne School of Business Accounting Area and Student Services teams along with Indigenous leaders to support the development and delivery of an Indigenous-focused version of ACCT 217 (undergraduate Introductory Financial Accounting) ensuring cultural relevance and fostering a sense of belonging for Indigenous students.
- Curriculum Refresh: Collaborate with the Haskayne School of Business Accounting Area to support the Curriculum Refresh for ACCT 217, (undergraduate Introductory Financial Accounting). Integrate experiential learning opportunities, modernize course content, and engage students to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and impactful.
- Budget Management: Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for all initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines. Provide regular financial updates and seek opportunities for additional funding or resource partnerships.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including academic colleagues, students, industry professionals, and community groups, to advance strategic goals. Actively contribute to reconciliation efforts and create opportunities for meaningful student and community engagement.

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- An undergraduate degree in business, education or a related field is required; a graduate degree would be considered an asset.
- Proven program delivery and project management experience, including the ability to coordinate complex initiatives and work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders and contributors.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with Indigenous communities, with a strong understanding of cultural competence and inclusivity in education.
- Familiarity with curriculum design and enhancement processes, with a collaborative approach to working alongside academic and industry experts.
- Experience in budget management, including developing, monitoring, and reporting on project finances.
- Experience in student engagement, with skills in creating and facilitating programs that promote involvement, academic and professional success.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
