The Manager oversees the management, performance, and data integrity of Medical Affairs operational systems and databases and supports the teams responsible for the delivery of province wide core MA services which include physician work force planning, recruitment, appointment & privileging, and administrative supports for senior medical leaders. Manages and supports the delivery of a high quality and reliable acute care afterhours coverage program which include support of the providers and staff delivering the service. Supports the delivery of medical education and the academic medical education program in partnership with the educational institutes. Participates in the planning, leading, and implementation of initiatives across MA and the broader organization and liaisons with internal stakeholders across Covenant Health, and key external stakeholders. **Required Qualifications**:
Baccalaureate degree in a related clinical area (i.e. nursing, allied health) or Business required. A minimum of five to ten years progressive health care administration experience and systems. knowledge required. Master's in health services administration, Business, Nursing or other equivalent. Preparation/combination of education/experience preferred.
**Additional Required Qualifications**:
At least five to seven (5-7) years of progressive healthcare services administrative experience in which a minimum of three (3) years were in a formal supervisory/management role with direct reports. Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams, complex projects, and mentoring team members. Broad understanding of the provincial and regional healthcare system. Effective interpersonal, communication, public relations, writing, and organizational skills. Proven ability to establish and maintain strategic relationships across jurisdictions both internal & external to the organization. Strong leadership, and team building skills. Demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and sound decision-making skills, and the ability to use proper judgment while working independently under pressure within short timelines, without sacrificing quality. Strategic and creative thinker, considering long term goals assessing options and implications. Process Development, process improvement experience. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Covenant Health’s mission, vision and values.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Database Systems and/or Record Management experience. Moderate computer skills (Microsoft office, SharePoint, Connect Care, ect.). Accurate and detail orientated being capable of managing multiple priorities. Capable of functioning in an environment of complexity and change. Highly self-directed and motivated - problem solver and competent at decision-making. Administrative and strategic creativity needed.
