Engineering For Kids has been delivering interactive, hands-on S.T.E.M classes and camps in Vancouver since 2021. We strongly believe that children learn best when they're fully immersed and having a great time. And it's just as important for our staff to have fun as well

**We are hiring a STEM Program Coordinator **reports directly to the Program Director at Engineering for Kids Vancouver to help with planning, developing, and executing onsite programming and events.

**SCOPE AND PURPOSE**

The **STEM Program Coordinator** works within the vision and programming strategy. The role is responsible, within the company's plan, for all elements of programming. This includes resource and program planning, developing and executing onsite programming.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
**- **Provide learning strategies to promote students’ skill development and inspire a love of learning
- Work with instructors and camp leaders to support and develop their ability to provide classroom-based strategies and interventions, through instructional observation and coaching
- Contribute to program development demonstrating a deep understanding of and passion for STEM education
- Create detailed plan for each program including objectives, logistics, budget, timelines etc.
- General correspondence to all inquiries in a timely and open manner with families, colleagues
- Distribute programming schedule to team and appropriate partners
- Outreach and recruitment for partnerships
- Provide information to Marketing Team for creative collateral needed to promote programming through various media sources, signage, ads, newsletters etc.
- Ensure ongoing communication with teaching team around all programming events to ensure they are up to date
- Conduct follow up correspondence with team members and program participants
- Compile all important documents, program materials and logístical information in programming folder
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational research, trends, and best practices

**REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's degree of Education, Science, Engineering or equivalent an asset
- 1 - 3 years previous experience working with children in an educational setting
- Experience supporting a range of learning needs informed by research and best practice in an inclusive classroom setting eg. ADHD, ASD, sensory and regulation needs
- Strong understanding of STEM and Learning
- Familiarity with marketing functions such as programming and community engagement
- Strong organizational, communication, administrative and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation
- Quick thinker, and self-starter - demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills: written and in person
- Understand the importance of collaboration and teamwork

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $22.50-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 37.5 per week
