**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop and monitor cost-reduction strategies
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Responsible for designing and implementing sourcing strategies and procurement plans to support the departments
- Drafts, reviews, negotiates and maintains contracts and other business documents in support of the purchase of goods and services
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders
- Follow up on order status with suppliers on behalf of internal clients.
- Provide back-up support for colleagues during vacations, absences or as needed
- Place orders for inventory material and assist with inventory management
- (This is not an exhaustive list, the employee may be required to carry out other duties as required to fulfil the role)_

**Skills and Education**:

- 2-3 years of experience as a procurement officer or related field is considered an asset
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Inventory control and Receiving
- Must have excellent Communication Skills, Customer Service & Negotiation skills
- Must have strong Organizational skills, Attention to detail, and Accuracy
- Be willing to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
- Must be able to handle high volume of paper work
- Must be responsible and reliable
- Must be able to work independently, and as a team player

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

- Vaughan, ON L4H 0L8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:
