**Role**:
The Accounting Support Specialist is a member of the LCN Accounting Team and is responsible for maintaining timely, accurate, and relevant financial, vendor, customer, and employee information in support of the objectives of the Strategic Plan.

**Supervision Received**: This position reports to the CFO.

**Responsibilities**:

- Adheres to the LCN code of conduct, Health & Safety policies, and the employee handbook.
- Completes all Human Resource related activities related to the position, including the development and execution of quarterly performance agreements.

**Accounting & Finance**:

- Processes Accounts Receivable debit memos timely and accurately.
- Processing Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable using Sage BusinessVision.
- Maintains the accuracy of associated electronic and paper files.
- Ensures all Finance related statutory remittances and compliance filings are submitted on time.
- Maintains the internal financial control framework, informing the team of any deficiencies identified.
- Develops and maintains standard operating procedures related to their role.
- Filing, supply ordering, and other organizational tasks as needed.

**Skills & Education Required**:

- Post-secondary diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping/Business Administration.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a junior/clerk level Accounting & Finance position.
- General understanding of relevant accounting and tax principles.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Detail oriented, with strong analytical skills and problem solving ability.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Calm, professional, approachable, team player.
- High degree of fluency in written and spoken English.

**Working Conditions**:

- Works in an office environment, with extended periods at a desk and using a computer.
- Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with some flexibility with starting and ending times.
- Overtime may be required during specific periods of the business cycle such as the Annual Audit.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
