**Job Summary**:
**The Role**:

- The Human Resources Associate is responsible for the day to day delivery of human resources services including but not limited to; recruitment & selection, employee engagement and development, attendance management, and HR reporting. They will be responsible for the departments reporting actives and support the analysis of data related to HR initiatives and special projects._

**Responsibilities will include**:

- _Offer HR excellence and lead hiring managers through their recruitment efforts which can include; updating position profiles, develop advertising strategy, applicant screening, coordinating interviews, reference checking, and advising on initial offers._
- _Welcome new employees by coordinating & facilitating CCMB’s corporate orientation._
- _Assist with training and development including participating in planning of events, booking venues, notifying staff, coordinating technology, arranging refreshments, requirements and tracking attendance._
- _Assist the HR team in updating relevant policies, procedures, and forms as required. _
- _Support the HR team and leadership through reporting on various business metrics._

**Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Level of Formal Education & Experience_
- _Certificate or diploma in Human Resources Management or Labour Relations from a recognized post-secondary institution._
- _Minimum 2 years’ experience in a unionized environment performing a broad range of Human Resource functions including; employee relations, labour relations, recruitment and selection._
- _
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered._
- Skills and Abilities_
- _Excellent active listening and superior customer service skills. _
- _Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)._
- _Excellent verbal and written communication skills._
- _Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and assignments._
- _Ability to handle the confidential aspects of this position with discretion and professionalism._
- _Ability to use critical thinking and sound judgement to solve problems_

**Preferred**:

- _CPHR designation or working towards._
- _Experience working in a health care environment._
