Reporting to the Manager Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will bring a high level of expertise, leadership and support in the area of Talent Acquisition to the team. The incumbent is part of a dynamic and fast paced team that deals with a broad scope of talentrequests and will work closely with all levels of management. The incumbent will play a key role in recruiting the best talent by employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Specialist will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting CHEO culture and the environment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead interviews by using the targeted selection method interviewing system;
- Ensure a smooth transition from the selection process and pre-employment verifications to the onboarding stage of new employees;
- Ensure proper follow-ups with stakeholders throughout the recruitment process;
- Provide strategic consulting, facilitation, and problem-solving advice to leaders
- Lead HR projects efficiently, including project delivery
- Provide ongoing consultation in all HR areas including: operations, administration, communication, recruitment & staffing, employee & labour relations, etc.
- Update job knowledge by participating in education opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, etc.;
- Help other recruitment team members in further developing their skills;
- Represent CHEO and participate in career fairs as required.

**ESSENTIAL **QUALIFICATIONS**
- Criminal Record Check (CRC);
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial/Labour Relations or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in talentacquisition or human resources;
- Strong experience with various sourcing techniques including leveraging social media channels (such as Twitter and LinkedIn);
- Strong experience and knowledge with targeted selection interview methods;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
- Integrity and confidentiality;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment, with strong organizational, administrative, andtime management skills;
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office products and good general knowledge of payroll/HR information systems.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation;
- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation;
- Experience working in acquisition or human resources in a unionized field;
- Experience working in a multicultural environment;
- Bilingualism (English/French)
