A career within Scotia Digital Portfolio Management Office (PMO) in Toronto, Ontario Canada, will provide you with the opportunity to optimize key elements of Scotia Digital’s operations, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with Bank policies and controls.
The Scotia Digital PMO oversees all projects and programs within Scotia Digital from ideation to closure. We implement processes and controls to monitor and ensure all projects adhere to Scotia Digital and Bank-wide policies and procedures. We also provide executive reporting and analysis that enables our key stakeholders to understand, manage, and control portfolio execution and risks for Scotia Digital.
The Reporting Manager, Scotia Digital PMO, supports the Sr Manager, SD PMO with portfolio lever reports, analysis and insights and has oversight across all projects and programs within Scotia Digital.
**Is this role right for you?**
The Reporting Manager must have a working knowledge of project management and financial reporting. Knowledge of Scotiabank’s specific project and investment portfolio policies, project financial standards, project delivery framework is considered an asset.
- Leads the design and development of dashboards and reporting on overall portfolio performance including leading and lagging indicators of portfolio health
- Collects data, conducts analysis, and prepares reporting that provides insights and actions related to trends with respect to delivery risk and performance loss
- Ensures quality, relevance, and currency of reporting data by identifying and validating new data sources and evaluating existing data ones on a periodic basis
- Reviews measurement and reporting methodology on a regular basis, identifies opportunities for improvement, and recommends new methods and tools for data visualization
- Schedules monthly/quarterly/annual cadence for portfolio reporting and resource planning
- Monitors, tracks, and reports on the effectiveness of operational and change management plans, including adoption and usage
- Leads analysis and reporting related to trends with respect to delivery risk and performance loss
- Participates to creation and roll-out of SD PMO processes and tool ensuring the appropriate controls are in place, provides SME input in process/tool designs, and ensures required data is captured in the process for reporting on compliance and portfolio health
- Acts as a resource by providing advice, guidance and interpretation of policies, procedures, standards, and performance measures
- Build strong relationships with SD teams, and Enterprise partners and their teams, to facilitate their collaboration and coordination
- Perform other related duties as assigned, available and capable

**Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?**
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Operations considered an asset
- Expert proficiency in Excel and Visual Basic for writing macros and automating reports. Proficiency in PowerBI for data visualization. Proficiency with MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
- Certification in a relevant technical discipline and / or certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Business Analysis is an asset.
- Expert knowledge and experience in data collection, analysis, and visualization, including financial and accounting analysis.
- Strong knowledge of project methodologies, processes, and tools
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project support, coordination, management, or PMO-related experience
- Excellent understanding of how to synthesize large amounts of data into an executive-level view and produce high-quality presentations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of the Bank
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-starter with capability of working in a fast-paced environment.
