Office Manager/bookkeeper

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Owner to assist in the overall office; anticipate and prioritize operation support activities and demonstrate flexibility to meet office needs and ensure issue resolution.
- Conducts interviews for the purpose of preparing complete, accurate tax returns utilizing Block’s customer service and programs. Provides tax information and offers appropriate tax-saving suggestions.
- Promotes, supports, and ensures that all services and programs are offered to clients in accordance with company policies, procedures, and established targets.
- Practices excellent client service techniques to maximize the number of new and returning clients, not limited to but including contacting prior clients through the company Client Connectas directed.
- Completes the required documentation for Efile and Instant Refund service and delivers these services according to company procedures.
- Collects all payments according to current company policy and procedures.
- Keep learning from H&R Block Tax academy and always engage with continuos learning process.
- Ready to working all kind all tax return including personal, business, rental, deaseased (Final returns), Corporation returns when proper training provided. (Optional for US tax return)
- Clent’s Bookkeeping, GST and PST return
- Reviews the status of COD, Hold & Drop-Off returns on an ongoing basis, following up with clients as necessary and reviews bulletin board items and responds accordingly.
- Answers questions or handles inquiries from clients and other Block Associates, in person or on the phone and conducts any necessary research that may be required to provide complete and accurate responses.
- Assist other Associates in the office in a team environment as required for the purpose of enhancing the client experience.
- Demonstrates competency in the area of income tax knowledge and utilizes Block’s continuing professional education programs to attain, maintain, and strengthen tax expertise.
- Help to Front desk staff for filing if needed.
- Follow code of ethics and dress code. Follow all updated COVID-19 guidelines. Sanatize hands often and keep sanatize reception and waiting area.
- Maintain Office supply.
- Help to train other new staff and hiring process.
- Keep all client’s files and information confidential and out of sight of other clients.
- Keep desk neat, orderly, and clear of clutter. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of workplace if needed.
- Coordinate the set up and shut down office. Ensure all compliance requirements are met.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Salary**: $17.00-$24.10 per hour
