Interior Health is recruiting for an exciting new medical leadership opportunity as the Medical Director, Physician Engagement.
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Medical Director, Physician Engagement will drive and foster a culture of physician leadership, engagement and involvement in the planning and delivery of health care services across all portfolios in Interior Health. The Medical Director, Physician Engagement will co-lead the planning, development and implementation of programs and strategies to create an engaged physician culture throughout Interior Health, in partnership with the Director, Physician Engagement and Leadership Development.
This position will work with executive and management teams to assess and communicate performance goals and to create change at all levels of the organization. This position will also be accountable to supporting and managing the organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that drive physician engagement and leadership development. The Medical Director, Physician Engagement, will lead the planning, development and implementation of programs and strategies for physician leadership development and training (NAVIG8), medical staff wellness and workplace health and safety strategies, medical staff orientation and onboarding, and medical quality initiatives. The Medical Director, Physician Engagement will support physician recruitment and retention initiatives and Medical Staff Resource Planning, in partnership with Medical Affairs and the Vice President, Medicine.
The Medical Director, Physician Engagement role will support Interior Health’s commitment to eliminate anti-Indigenous racism and discrimination and continue to create a culturally safe and inclusive workplace. Working alongside IH leaders, the Medical Director, Physician Engagement, will continue to support the design and delivery of an equitable health care system within Interior Health.
