Out of Scope / Full Time
- Permanent Opportunity- Work Location: Calgary - 100% in the office-
- Key Accountabilities- Note: This section is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities - other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.- Claims Support-
- Opens and assigns new claims files and maintains accurate claim log for the unit
- Distributes mail and faxes to the appropriate claims and notifies file handlers.
Reception Duties-
- Provides telephone inquiry support for the branch, providing answers and recommendations for a large volume of simple inquiries
- Acts as the first point of contact for all branch visitors.
- Interprets the needs of telephone inquiries and walk-in customers and direct them to the appropriate company representative.Administrative Support-
- Maintains filing systems.
- Provides administrative support to the branch and regional management.
- Administers the mail/courier services for the branch.- Leadership-
- Actively contributes to and supports a culture of a high performing workforce.
- Participates in divisional succession plans, ensuring ongoing professional and career development and supports development of others.
- Supports a culture of leadership and accountability to effectively deliver on strategic and corporate strategies.
- Is actively committed to leadership development across the company, supporting team and workforce readiness through mentoring, training and developmental opportunities.- Corporate Management-
- Enables the success of programs and policies that are in alignment with corporate, strategies and divisional strategies.
- Manages risk in area of authority.
- Ensures that the Health, Safety and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility.- Education & Experience-
- Grade 12/GED
- 6 months - 1 year experience in an office environment.- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-
- Knowledge of office procedures and office equipment.
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of procedures and practices in business operations.
- Knowledge of claims procedures.
