Client Care Manager

The Supportive Housing and Residential Client Care Manager shall report directly to and carry out her duties under the authority of the Executive Director. Currently, this is a 30-hour per week position.
The purpose of this position is to develop and implement procedures consistent with the mission statement and goals of the agency. The Manager will support clients to continue developing and build upon the life-skills and parenting skills learned within our Programs. This is a high-energy and attention-to-detail position where the Manager plays an active role in ensuring the Supportive Housing building and each individual unit remains a safe, clean, and organized space. The Manager will support clients to develop a community and a network of community partners to assist them in addressing personal barriers to independent living, poverty reduction, education, and positive parenting with the goal of transitioning young families into the community with the skills and community to support wellness and healthy living.
**Qualifications**:
- Educational Background in Social Work or a related field an asset.
- Training and certification in Attachment, Infant Mental Health, Circle of Security, Signs of Safety, ASQ SE an asset.
- Work and or Volunteer experience in assisting women who are pregnant and parenting that are struggling with a variety of issues.
- Demonstrated understanding of positive parenting and child development interventions.
- Able to be self-directed.
- Must have organizational and administrative skills, as well as a high-level of attention to detail.
- Staff and volunteer supervision experience is an asset.
- Physically able to perform light-medium physical tasks such as cleaning, property maintenance, organizing supplies and donations and moving light furniture.
**Responsibilities and Principle Activities**:
**Management**
- Ensures that all documentation, paper or electronic is maintained and stored in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Complete Dashboard reports as required for Board Meetings, Funding Grant Proposals and other areas as needed.
- Work with the Executive Director and staff to complete Health & Safety inspections of each apartment unit and report any concerns to the Facility Manager.
- Provide on-call support to Intentional Neighbour volunteers.
- Meet with the Intentional Neighbours bi-weekly to ensure necessary information has been received or passed on, and to clarify any issues that have come up and ensure that the ED and Program Manager are made aware of any challenges and changes.
- Ensure that the INs are communicated with, about any client care needs as well as any upcoming events within SH that they are invited to participate in.
- Meet regularly with the Executive Director and Program Manager.
- Communicates on an ongoing basis with the team at both the Residence and Supportive Housing, ensuring that all members that need to know are made aware.
- Communicates with the on-call team as to any situations that might have arisen during their on-call rotation shift.
- Be available to respond to crisis as they arise for both locations. This sometimes requires working outside of scheduled daytime hours.
- Participates in, supports and encourages the team to participate in at least two fundraising events each year.
- Other jobs, tasks and responsibilities as needed.
**Facility Management**
- Responsible for over-all cleanliness of Supportive Housing building, ensuring the interior and exterior of the facility remains a safe, clean, and organized environment.
- The Client Care Manager (CCM) works with Primary Workers (PW) to remind moms that their chore has not been completed and hold them accountable to the program agreement they have signed upon entry to the Program.
- Ensure individual client units, common spaces and programming areas are well maintained. The CCM to regularly check these areas and explore who last used the space (i.e. the atrium can be left a mess from time to time, checking cameras to see who made the mess and then contacting that person).
- Work with Facility Manager to ensure all Emergency, Safety Procedures, & Maintenance are in place and up to date for both the Residential and Supportive Housing Programs.
- The CCM schedules a regular fire drill with the Facility Manager and ensures that all staff are made aware of timeline for the fire drill. The CCM will also track what went well and what training might need to be included - either with staff or residents.
**Caseload Management**
- Responsible for admission and orientation of potential and new residential and supportive housing clients. The CCM and Residential Supervisor will ensure that all Intake calls are responded to in a timely fashion and that interviews are regularly being conducted to ensure that the Programs stay at capacity.
