**Purpose**:
Launched in October 2014, York University's new School of Continuing Studies is rapidly expanding. It is one of the largest and most innovative of its kind in the country.Reporting to the Director, Operations & Organizational Effectiveness and supporting Program Managers in daily activities, the LMS Assistant is responsible for updating online course content in the learning management system (LMS) for online and blended programs offered through the School of Continuing Studies related to Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and the English Language Institute (YUELI).

**Education**:
College Diploma in Business Administration, Technology, or Adult Education or related field is required or an equivalent of 2 years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

**Experience**:
2 years' related experience working with Learning Management software preferably Moodle. Experience working in a learning or academic environment with instructors. Experience in managing multiple projects with time sensitive deadlines.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Is overtime available in this position? Occasional. What days/months is the overtime available? Peak periods. What are the peak periods for this position? Two weeks prior to, and first week of, class start dates for programs supported (typically last two weeks of August/first week September and early December/first week January for CPE and early August and late October for YUELI) and during examination periods for programs that are examination intensive. Is there any change of hours during peak periods? Yes -Hours during peak periods: Alternate hours may be required during peak periods to be available for to respond to telephone inquiries after 4:30pm or occasional on-call support as needed. Occasional travel and off-site support for contract clients or remote program delivery may be required.Is there any time during which vacation is restricted? Yes - Define the restriction: No vacation time during peak periods, as noted above.
