We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in **Dartmouth, NS as a Tender / Bid Specialist** Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Tender / Bid Specialist is responsible for searching for and identifying tender/bid opportunities, working with sales and operations staff to prepare and submit bid packages, and maintaining an ongoing record of bids, wins, and loses. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in securing new business by managing the entire tender process.

**Responsibilities**
- **Tender Identification and Assessment**: Identifying potential tender opportunities, evaluating their suitability for Hercules Group of Companies, and determining the scope of work and deliverables.
- **Proposal Development**: Developing comprehensive and compelling tender proposals, ensuring they accurately reflect our capabilities, pricing, and compliance with tender requirements.
- **Tender Submission**: Managing the submission process, ensuring timely delivery of proposals and required documentation.
- **Bid Coordination**: Collaborating with internal teams (e.g. sales, operations, finance) to gather necessary information and ensure that proposals are accurate and competitive.
- **Tender Evaluation**: Analyzing tender results and providing feedback to improve future bid strategies.

**Requirements**:

- Experience with writing proposals required
- Experience in sales would be an asset
- Strong understanding of the industrial equipment industry
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and written abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Technical writing abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM platforms an asset.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
