Meridian is an automotive company and the world leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of high-quality magnesium and aluminum die cast components. We are driven to provide lightweight, innovative, and effective solutions for our distinguished automotive clients around the globe.

**Primary Purpose of Position**:
Reporting to the Global Business Development Director, the incumbent will lead market research and benchmarking activities. Work with internal Meridian technical and BD experts and OEMs to identify industry trends and guide growth strategy development. Coordinate all external customer outreach for exhibitions, conferences, technical days, industry associations etc.

**Educational and Skills Requirements**:

- MBA or Master’s Degree in related field
- 7+ years of relevant automotive marketing experience
- Chinese language skills
- Experience in automotive and/or general aviation industry
- Chinese market experience
- Proven qualitative research and analysis skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to cope with changing priorities and responsibilities.
- Must be a self-starter who is motivated to tackle challenges and make decisions with limited information.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Capable of effective communication in a remote work environment.
- Fluent in Mandarin (verbal and written) an asset.

**Major Responsibilities of Position**

Benchmarking:

- Perform vehicle platform development trend analysis for all major OEMs.
- Compile and analyze performance data on our key competitors, identify strengths and weaknesses and provide improvement action.
- Establish a process for collecting and organizing customer and competitive information.
- Develop models to monitor commercial conditions and report on business threats and opportunities.
- Develop presentation materials to effectively communicate the analysis.
- Develop market statistics and customer product strategies for magnesium and new aluminum alloys.
- Lead the development of Meridian’s global marketing strategy obtaining buy-in and approval from upper management.
- Communicate with current and potential customers providing company profile information.
- Organize meetings with customers and other 3rdparty organizations as required.

Other duties as required, including special projects as they arise.
