**Position Overview**:
Under the general direction of the Medicine Director Health Services, the incumbent is responsible for assisting with the effective, efficient provision of clerical support for the following areas: Medicine Program. Duties include reception and administrative support including managing calendars, coordinating and preparatory work for meetings and other miscellaneous clerical duties.

**Experience**:

- 2 - 3 years of direct secretarial experience required.
- Two years of recent clerical experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Experience in using setting up TEAMS meetings, transcribing reports and meeting minutes required.
- Experience in creating and maintaining graphs and spreadsheets from statistical information.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Completion of a comprehensive course in medical terminology is an asset.
- Successful completion of a recognized business office training program is an asset.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Certification/Licensure/Registration**:

- Possession of a Health Unit Clerk certificate is an asset.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Typing 50 wpm required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment is an asset.
- Demonstrated excellence in time management, organization and prioritization.
- Demonstrated self-direction, flexibility and creativity in work.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills that promote professionalism, interdepartmental collaboration and customer service.
