**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Administrative Assistant will:
- Provide a variety of general clerical assistance
- Maintain various records, files and related filing systems
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
The Administrative Assistant will have:
- Grade 12
- Six (6) months, related experience, or
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**:
The Administrative Assistant will:
- Answer calls or in person inquiries related to the Legal Advocate program
- Assists with client intake by obtaining pertinent information, assisting in completing forms and booking appointments with the Legal Advocate in accordance with established guidelines
- Distributes and posts printed information for Legal Advocate clients
- Performs data entry functions such as inputting information into databases, maintains and updates filing, and other records as requested
- Performs general word processing and typing including correspondence, forms and documents
- Operates a variety of office equipment such as computer, printers, copiers
- Reviews files, records and other documents to obtain basic information to respond to requests
Performs other related duties as required
**HOURS OF WORK**:
14 Hours per week, less applicable deductions
**RATE OF PAY**:
As per Collective Agreement
