As a valued member of the HR Reporting, Data Management & Security team, you’ll help Sun Life discover better ways to engage, attract and retain employees. If you are excited about leveraging the power of integrated data and finding innovative ways to deliver HR insights to end users, this is the team for you.

Working collaboratively with the Technical Leads and other members of the HR Systems team, this role primarily supports the administration and delivery of reporting and security solutions. We are looking for someone who learns new systems with ease, understands data management best practices, and who is comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

**About the team**

The HR Reporting, Data Management & Security team brings together experts in HR Systems, Design Thinking, Process Analysis Optimization and Program Management. This team, like others in HR Systems, design and deploy scalable technical solutions to better organize, understand and proactively deploy Sun Life’s current and future workforce needs. You will work with a team that is committed to releasing high value features (primarily from Workday) and who are passionate about delivering system solutions that create awesome employee experiences.

**What will you do?**
- Develop and document internal standard operating procedures
- Participate as an active team member to triage, refine, plan and prioritize requests
- Must be able to understand functional and technical details and think strategically to analyze requests
- Support HR Systems and processes including ongoing maintenance, analysis and configuration of systems
- Active contributor in the investigation and resolution of functional issues and enhancements
- Consult with HR and external business stakeholders to design, test, and deploy new Workday solutions
- Proactively seek out and suggest process and technical changes that minimize low value work and maximize high value, impactful improvements
- Take charge of your career path and work with your leader and team to continuously develop your skills and competencies - we want you to love what you do

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Education in Human Resources, HRIS or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with supporting HR-related tasks, processes and services is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks through assessing importance and urgency of each task and allocation appropriate time to ensure timely completion.
- Working knowledge creating dashboards and aggregating data in MS Excel
- Proficient in MS Product Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of standard development stages and agile practices is an asset
- Dedicated commitment to customer service, clear communication and team collaboration

- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
- Strong attention to detail to ensure data integrity and high quality
- Follow and recommend improvements to internal standard operating procedures to ensure consistent quality and to mitigate risk
