At Sun Life, the HR Systems Management team is responsible for designing and deploying scalable technical solutions in Workday to better organize, understand and proactively deploy our current and future workforce needs. This team is diverse in education and experience and prides themselves on their passion, innovative mindset, and collaborative work culture, while using modern agile principles. Under the leadership of the Manager, HR Systems Management, you’ll have a safe space to experiment, take calculated risks, and build on your colleague’s strengths and expertise to achieve milestones.
As a Specialist, HR Systems Management, you are curious and empathetic to users and their experiences. You are creative with a natural ability to come up with alternative solutions to problems and find balance between the systems’ capabilities and user needs to implement the best solutions.

**What will you do?**
- Develop, maintain, and enhance documentation of HR System’s standard operating procedures and support system maintenance on all HR Systems through reviewing release notes and completing full cycle testing
- Ensure the accuracy, organization, and maintenance of tickets in our ticketing system (JIRA) with a primary focus on managing the lifecycle of operational work
- Understand functional and technical details to assess requests, while identifying trends, common user errors, and training/educational gaps; consult with HR and external business stakeholders to design, test, and deploy new Workday solutions
- Participate as an active team member to triage, refine, plan, and prioritize requests; contribute to the investigation and resolution of functional issues and enhancements
- Proactively seek out and suggest process and technical changes that minimize low value work and maximize high value, impactful improvements
- Support HR Systems and processes including ongoing maintenance, analysis, and configuration of the systems
- Develop a deep understanding and actively participation in the Workday Community platform by joining relevant groups, forums, and discussions to stay on the latest enhancements and best practices
**What do you need to succeed?**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, HRIS or another related field, with experience supporting HR-related tasks, processes, and services; Knowledge of standard development stages and agile practices is an asset
- Customer focused with strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail to ensure data integrity and high-quality work; able to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
- Excellent ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks according to importance and urgency
- Creative thinker with an innovative, growth mindset
