**) Manager, International Student Entry Program.**This position oversees recruitment, admissions and enrolment activities for new and prospective international students in order to grow the number of international students in BCIT’s credential programs. Provides educational, operational and administrative leadership in BCIT’s International programs including International Student Entry Program Plus Flex (ISEP Flex), adhering to the industry and Institute standards. Manages a broad range of initiatives impacting daily operations. Supports BCIT schools, programs and departments to facilitate international students into various programs through the pathway. Analyzes economic, market and enrolment trends and influences, initiating changes and improvements to recruitment strategies ensuring enrolment growth and diversification.**Duties & Responsibilities**

**ACCOUNTABILITIES***:

- Participates as a member of BCIT International’s leadership team, contributing to development and implementation of International’s mission and strategic plan, business and operational plans, and sharing responsibility for achievements and success.
- Oversees recruitment, admissions and enrolment activities for new and prospective international students. Manages the administrative and operational functions of the ISEP Flex ensuring the achievement of targets and objectives.
- Works collaboratively with the Office of the Registrar and Schools to better facilitate international applicants. Ensures consistency in the admissions process and the integrity of student records.
- Develops strategic enrolment plan for ISEP Flex students; develops and carries out marketing and recruitment activities to attract international students already in the lower mainland and overseas.
- Collaborates with BCIT International recruitment and advising teams on applicant follow-ups and registration initiatives.
- Supports and enhances the educational experiences of students. Counsels students when requested; promptly investigates and resolves student concerns and complaints.
- Oversees resolution to concerns regarding student performance and conduct; confirms that issues are appropriately addressed and in compliance with BCIT policy and procedures. Ensures that staff and students are informed of relevant Institute policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with the staff in BCIT programs and Schools and creates opportunities to promote BCIT’s international capabilities in the global and local markets.
- Consistently delivers high-quality, customer-focused services to clients both internally and externally. Maintains effective relationships with domestic and international clients, partners, professional groups and associations, and other colleges, institutes, and universities, as appropriate.
- Contributes to the overall planning and administration of the Institute through participation on Institute committees and other consultative bodies, as required.
- Provides assistance and advice for recruitment and marketing activities.
- Provides leadership in the development, continual evolution and implementation of central standards, systems and processes, within the department to ensure consistent and efficient practices are in place.
- Identifies business and organizational issues and data challenges of faculty, staff and management, and industry partners and implements/promotes areas of improvement.
- Stays current with the political, economic, social, and educational trends that influence the effective implementation of BCIT’s international strategies and business plans.
- Manages staff, overseeing and participating in selection, coaching, mentoring, development, performance management and other people-management practices.

**Qualifications**

**QUALIFICATIONS***:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as marketing and communications or business management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with international students in the areas of education, pathway program, project management, marketing or leadership.
- RISIA (Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor) certification preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, clients, and customers.
- Strong background working with international educational agencies and agents.
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian immigration policy and procedures related to international students.
- Advanced project management skills, with ability to lead projects from concept and planning through to completion.
- Advanced relationship management skills with ability to build productive, collaborative relationships with a leadership team, staff, unions, and other internal/external stakehold
