We are a fast growing land development and construction company located in Vaughan, Ontario. We specialize in the development and construction of residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects around the G.T.A.
**Description**
**Responsibilities**:
- report to Directors
- oversee day to day bookkeeping activities including A/P, A/R, G/L, bank reconciliations, payroll, job costing and Invoice preparation
- monitor and plan corporate cash flow requirements
- prepare governmental remittances including HST returns and WSIB
- prepare detailed reconciliations and assist external accountant with year-end reports
- supervision of bookkeeping and administrative staff
- prepare budgets and monthly management reports
- act as company controller/administrator
- oversee regulatory compliance issues
- oversee preparation of monthly Draw packages for construction projects (including the review/coding of Invoices and the coordination of Draws with Project Managers, Site Administrators and Cost Consultants)
- collaborate with Project and Construction Managers with a view to improving Draw procedures and to identify opportunities for efficiencies and savings
- assist with assessment and coordination of corporate insurance requirements
- assist with coordination and administration of construction loans and mezzanine financing
- administer Human Resource management issues
- develop, maintain and improve internal control systems, policies and procedures
- **10+ years experience in the development and/or construction industry** **is mandatory in the context of : (1) accounting/bookkeeping; and/or (2) acting as a company controller/administrator**:
- experience in full-cycle accounting activities
- diploma or degree in accounting or business is preferred but is not mandatory
- advanced level of expertise in using Quickbooks software is mandatory
- advanced level of expertise in using Excel software is mandatory
- acute attention to detail
- ability to solve complex problems independently and to analyze business planning and administration issues
- excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
