The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

The Business Development Manager works to grow and improve Granite Mountain Stone Design’s position within the residential, commercial, memorial and, ancillary markets and collaborates with the sales team and organization to provide leadership and influence in support of all Granite Mountain Stone Design products, services, and markets in the Canada Region. The position includes defining long-term strategic goals, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, maintaining extensive knowledge of the current market conditions, and managing a sales team. It also includes responsibility for helping create sustainable growth and value creation by implementing a business development process to identify, define, assess, test, and launch opportunities, which will drive future revenues and profits for Granite Mountain Stone Design and its facilities.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Develop, coordinate, and implement 1, 3, and 5-year business growth plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities.
- Use Lean Management System and Covey Leadership to monitor
eview\coach others to create and execute plans to achieve objectives.
- Participate in strategic associations to position Granite Mountain Stone Design within the market.
- Identify trendsetting ideas by researching the industry, listening to our clients and related events, publications, and announcements.
- Work creatively and collaboratively with internal resources - sales, marketing, and others - to deliver solutions to solve business opportunities.
- Promote and maximize the culture, sales and profitability and proactive staff development while controlling expenses.
- Ensure each customer receives exceptional service by providing an open, friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining exceptional standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
- Create and maintain a cohesive work environment for the field sales staff and direct reports.
- Works cross-functionally to understand resource requirements, complete financial analyses, and define, construct, and launch new products and services, new programs, and new relationships.
- Achieves budgeted revenues, expenses, and profit goals.
- Hires, orients, trains, supervises, directs, and develops personnel in his/her area of responsibility as needed.
- Demonstrate high standards for acting in accordance with corporate values for self and others.
- Prepare sales contracts, ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.

**SECONDARY FUNCTIONS**:

- Other duties as assigned or required by customer and President & CEO.

**Qualifications**:

- : Bachelor’s degree in Sales or Marketing (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 4-5 years

**Skills and knowledge**:

- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role.
- Proven sales track record
- Experience in customer support is a plus.
- Market knowledge
- Must possess impeccably strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of stone is an asset and construction trades.
- Ability to handle and organize multiple priorities and lead people at all levels of the organization.
- Good computer skills. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (Moraware is an asset).
- Time Management and planning skills.
- Able to work with limited supervision.

**Performance Measures**:

- Touchpoints, Estimates $$, GPM %, Close Rate %, Sales $$, and Quality $$ (Daily, weekly, monthly).

**Typical Working Environment**:
This position requires in field sales environment with extensive travel within the province.

**Physical requirements**:
This position requires some heavy lifting, sitting, driving, and potentially standing for extended periods of time.
