**Your opportunity**:
The Manager, Sponsorship and Strategic Partnerships is responsible for the development and implementation of an annual sponsorship plan which will detail all activities in the areas of generating sponsorship and advertising revenue for the Faculty’s Athletics and Physical Activity and Academic programs. The plan will support the mission, values, goals and priorities of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education and U of T Sport and Recreation.
This position is central to the revenue generation priorities of the organization. Through research of appropriate marketableproperties, the incumbent will make strategic revenue generating recommendations to the Executive Director Athletics and Physical Activity, Dean and senior management. The incumbent will work closely with the Director, Advancement to support the revenue generation related to major gifts and annual giving campaigns and events.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Fostering and maintaining relationships with existing and potential sponsors
- Delivering presentations outlining proposals to attract sponsorship opportunities
- Researching business trends and corporate sponsorship potential
- Developing marketing/communications strategies that support fundraising campaigns and programs
- Writing project-specific proposals related to fundraising campaigns

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in marketing or public relations or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years experience building and maintaining relationships with community partners to attract sponsorship opportunities to build revenue.
- Minimum five years experience delivering presentations outlining proposals to attract sponsorship opportunities.
- Minimum five years of progressive fundraising experience, including experience developing and implementing sponsorship strategies.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple marketing projects from conception through to delivery and evaluation.
- Flexible to work in a consensus-driven environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and bridge the interests of faculty, students, alumni and corporate sponsors
- Strong planning and project management skills with ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Strong attention to detail.

**Assets (Nonessential)**:

- Experience raising funds in an Athletics environment is a strong asset.
- Experience working in fundraising in an educational institution is preferred.
