**Duties include**:

- Develop and update job descriptions for all positions.
- Prepare, update, recommend, and implement effective human-resources policies, systems, and procedures that align with the company’s vision.
- Ensure legal compliance with national and local employment policies and regulations. Conduct investigations and maintain records as required.
- Work with the Corporate Safety Officer to develop, implement and maintain company wide safety initiatives.
- Facilitate and track timely performance reviews with employees and conduct reviews together with department managers.
- Provide training and support to managers and supervisors for addressing human resource matters including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, progressive discipline, terminations, and conflict resolution.
- Support and recommend employee training and development opportunities that are based on defined career development paths that meet both employee and corporate goals.
- Collaborate with the senior management team in developing long-term staffing goals as well as defining and tracking metrics related to recruitment, onboarding, retention, and termination.
- Manage and enhance employee benefits programs, including payroll, compensation, health insurance, expense reimbursement, vacation and other policies that reflect the current market.
- Manage bi-weekly payroll to ensure it meets company standards and is transmitted timely and accurately.
- Identify and implement employee satisfaction initiatives and lead team building and training events.

**Qualifications required**:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent post-secondary education) in human resources or related field
- Minimum 10 years related work experience (construction industry an asset)
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to HR
- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff and external partners.
- Highly resourceful team player.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a strong decision-making capability.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with computers, multifunctional processing units, telephones, and faxes.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office platform and effective HRMS systems (experience working with ADP is an asset).

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
