Halifax, Canada City Centre Property Management Full time

The Junior Property Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and the overall management of a small assigned residential portfolio including leasing, accounting, budgeting, administrative tasks, and staff and contractor supervision.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervision of the Resident Manager at each multi-unit property to ensure properties are well maintained and all maintenance issues are addressed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Liaise with tenants on all operational matter related to their tenancy and maintain excellent customer relations with them.
- Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are effectively communicated and implemented
- Provide property management services to clients and tenants in compliance with the management agreements and Residential Tenancy laws.
- Respond to client and tenant inquiries in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the preparation of lease documentation for all new and renewal leasing
- Ensure all aspects of tenant lease administration, rent collection and day to day administrative operations are maintained and executed in a timely manner.
- Ongoing communication with staff, tenants, contractors, support personnel, leasing agents, property visitations and property inspections.
- Provide guidance and direction to your team to ensure client satisfaction
- Provide emergency on-call after hours’ service
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- A bachelor’s degree and/or experience of 1+ years in a property management role is vital. - Completion of Property Management Certification is considered an asset.
- A valid class 5 drivers license is required
- Intermediate or advances level of proficiency in Office 365 software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve quality results.
- Excellent knowledge of office procedures and practices are required to maintain accurate and secure files, track and follow-up information/report requests
- Interpersonal skills to deal with co-workers, tenants, contractors, vendors, other departments, and the public in a positive, tactful, courteous and cooperative manner.

Knowledge of Residential Tenancy Laws, residential insurance requirements, fire regulation bylaws are considered an asset. We are searching for a self-motivated individual with the ability to allocate one’s time effectively, multi-task and prioritize completing demands within required deadlines along with the drive and desire to manage a client focused portfolio.
