Universal Realty Group is a Halifax-based property management company known for setting the standards of excellence in residential accommodation and commercial leasing. We are currently seeking a qualified Project Manager
- Residential and Commercial Development & Renovation for our head office in Halifax, NS. Your responsibilities include: Managing all aspects of large commercial and residential renovation projects, both on-site, and in corporate head office. Attending all job-related meetings Meetings with designers if needed Reviewing current building capital issues such as any leaks, HVAC issues Obtaining pricing for enhancements and major repairs via tenders Conducting contractor weekly meetings for each project Managing the subcontractors to ensure adherence to the project construction, schedule and the budget Ability to understand building codes and ensure upkeep obtaining quotes where required and negotiating Understanding of plans Understanding and ability to prepare project estimation, budgets and timelines Your qualifications include: Minimum 2 years' experience required, this position could be Junior Degree in engineering, PMP designation would be an asset (training and experience equivalencies will be considered) Well-groomed and professional Reliable and flexibility are considered and asset Trustworthy / confidentiality Writing skills, reporting skills, scheduling Microsoft Office skills, organization, time management Presentation skills, travel logistics, verbal communicationBenefits: Dental care Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off Vision care Wellness programSchedule: 8 hour shiftApplication question(s): Have you ever worked in renovations or leaseholds for a property management company?
