We're seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist focused on enhancing the reliability and performance of our software products. Your role involves rigorous testing and collaborating with developers to resolve issues. With a hands-on approach, you'll develop test plans and document findings to support product improvements. Your analytical skills will be crucial in identifying defects and ensuring software quality standards. Join us to play a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions in a dynamic team environment.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Evaluate and test new enhancements and fixes to program functions per user requirements, design specifications and established standards.
- Consults with development engineers for problem resolution.
- Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Creates detailed Technical Reports (TRs) using quality writing skills and provides Development with the necessary information to resolve issues.
- Follows established quality assurance procedures and contributes to the continual improvement of those procedures.
- Performs unit testing on defect resolutions to ensure accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness to achieve desired results.
- Analyzes and documents reasons for test failures, and revises/debugs assigned programs and/or procedures as necessary.
- Updates and maintains new test environments with appropriate data.
- Tracks software problems and verifies corrections.
- Work collaboratively in the creation and inspection of quality assurance documents and prepare release documentation for both internal and external presentation.
- Enhances knowledge of tools, processes, procedures, and resources necessary to support quality assurance activities.
- Be part of a great team and participate in weekly committee meetings.

**Who You Are**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related degree or equivalent experience.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of software domain(s) experience and/or quality assurance experience with working knowledge of quality testing tools and systems.
- Proven ability to diagnose, report, track and effectively communicate quality issues for several projects concurrently.
- Awesome written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- High comfort level troubleshooting and problem-solving issues.
- Flexibility, and the ability to manage changing priorities.
- Great people skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

**Helpful to Have**:

- Knowledge of SQL administration.
- Experience in the property management industry.
- Experience with IoT devices.
- Willing to learn how to create effective automated test suites.

Salary $72,800 - $81,900 CAD
