The Health Data Branch is looking for strategic leads to advance data and information initiatives for the Ontario health system.

Health Data Branch plays a foundational role in data and information management that enables and supports the development and delivery of better programs and services for Ontarians. The branch oversees the central management of the strategic provincial health data assets by guiding how they are accessed, collected, used, safeguarded and shared to support the health system.

In this role, you will:

- Lead and provide expertise on the design, implementation and sustainment of health data for the health system;
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic data and information projects
- Lead and coordinate strategic responses to inquiries and information requests from partner ministries and other stakeholders on a wide range of complex and sensitive issues;
- Lead the intake and fulfilment of data and information requests to support the release of data within or external to the Ministry.

**How do I qualify?**:
**Data and Information Management (Health Knowledge)**:

- You have knowledge of Ontario health system data (such as: clinical, financial, statistical, administrative);
- You have quantitative analysis experience in the health field and are skilled in developing and using a range of analytic, statistical, and modelling techniques and tools;
- You have an understanding of health policy, clinical practices, and data governance policies;
- You have knowledge of provincial legislation and how it applies to the collection, use and disclosure of health data;
- You have excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills;
**Policy, Program and Strategic Leadership**:

- You have knowledge of policy and program development principles and techniques;

**Project Management**:

- You can lead multi-disciplinary teams;

**Communication and Stakeholder Relationship Skills**:

- You have effective stakeholder consultation, client service, relationship-building, and team-building skills;
- You have presentation skills;
- You can prepare correspondence, briefing and planning documents, and various other types of written documentation;
- You have demonstrated political acuity and a well-developed ability to build/maintain partnerships.
