Reporting to the Manager, Line Maintenance, the Maintenance Operations Coordinator (MOC) will liaise with Flight Crew and Maintenance to ensure timely rectifications of defects while keeping Operations informed of these defects and possible operational impact.

The MOC will work with Maintenance Planning in coordinating daily and nightly work packs, as well as DMI tracking and rectification. They will also work with Outbases, Stores, Maintenance, and external vendors when coordinating efforts to rescue AOG aircraft.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Act as the focal point for all technical dispatch status and control of in-service aircraft.Oversight of all open deferred defects on the fleetLiaise with Duty Manager with regard to any Aircraft On Ground [AOG] aircraftMonitor the performance of in-house and contracted Approved Maintenance Organization [AMO] personnel in the maintenance of Company in-service aircraft for completion of maintenance tasksArrange hangar facilities for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on in-service aircraft at the main maintenance base and outstations when requiredWhen required, will issue a maintenance release under the authority of Approved Maintenance Organization in accordance with his/her Aircraft Certification Authority [ACA]Control the Elementary Work carried out by Flight CrewsResponsible to Issue "Deferral Authorization" to Pilots and contracted maintenance in accordance with Company policy and procedures as requiredReview/monitor recurring defects and advise Manager, Line Maintenance of corrective action/recommendationsWhen required, obtain and coordinate documentation for outstation requestsUtilization of the Safety Management System [SMS] reporting program and adherence to the Safety PolicyOther duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
A valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's [AME] license issued by Transport CanadaEndorsement on Dehavilland Dash-8 400 aircraft and/or Embraer E Jet considered an assetValid Ontario full 'G' driver’s license or out-of-province equivalentAeronautical Radio License issued by Industry CanadaPossess the ability to obtain necessary security clearances and successfully complete the company screening processDisplay of leadership skillsAt least five years relevant experiencePossess the ability to make timely and informed decisionsMandatory COVID-19 Vaccination
