Maintenance Service Coordinator

Toronto, Canada S & C Electric Company Full time

The Maintenance Service Coordinator will work closely with the Facilities team, Production Operations, Suppliers, equipment service providers in order to coordinate various maintenance procedures and workflow. The individual will be responsible for planning daily preventative maintenance, coordinating the tasks of mechanics, and maintaining inventory for machines.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Maintain spare parts inventory minimum levels in Micromain spare parts module in order to trigger re-order
- Maintain reports on quantities of lift truck spare parts as well as building and electrical supplies eg. lighting components, wiring hardware
- Research spare parts for equipment, secure quotes and generate purchase orders for spare parts
- Maintain asset documentation in Micromain computer system
- Assist Senior Maintenance Coordinator & Team Leader with coordinating and issuing work orders to Maintenance Technicians
- Assist Manager-Maintenance with drafting maintenance procedures eg. lockout/tagout, Hot work permit, and confined space
- Make minor adjustments to PM work instructions based on mechanics’ feedback.
- Make minor modifications to Total Predictive Maintenance TPM instructions for production machine operators daily shift checks
- Assist and train Mechanics on Preventive Maintenance (PM) softwareGenerate and close out maintenance work orders

**Minimum Requirements**
- College diploma or equivalent work experience
- 1-2 years of experience in facilities and/or maintenance coordination
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing is an asset
- Experience with CMMS
- Excellent organizational and priority management
- Good problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer skills and proficient in MS Office and Oracle
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of architectural, structural, construction, and mechanical systems

General knowledge of production machinery and equipment, preventative maintenance, facility management and general landscaping

**Work Schedule: Onsite**

**Physical Effort**

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 5kg/11lbs
