**Job Summary**
Provides support and service to maintenance staff, the hotel operation, which includes the hotel and its surrounding facilities. Coordination, assigning and monitoring of work, to carry out all aspect of building maintenance and repairs, in room/suites, common and all other areas. Complete assigned tasks as assigned by the Director of Engineering and/or their designate.
**Role and Responsibilities**
- _Perform inspection and coordinate guestroom & common area preventive maintenance program; keep record and monitor the completion of work. _
- _Make work orders as requested by various departments, assign repair maintenance work, track work orders and their completion_
- _Monitor & keep record of daily work assignments of the maintenance team_
- _Good organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus_
- _Proficient in MS Office, and possess strong written, verbal, and people skills_
- _Demonstrated intermediate to advanced written communication skills (spelling, grammar, and punctuation) and verbal communication skills_
- _Able to work independently with mínimal supervision_
- _Prioritize and manage the completion of projects in an efficient and timely manner_
- _Ability to quickly learn how to use any Company required software may be required_
- _Improve communication between departments and team members and encourage the building of a strong and efficient team_
- _Ensure daily follow up on maintenance rooms, releasing them into inventory as soon as possible_
- _Coordinate all programs that involve floor closings_
- _Familiarity with all emergency and radio procedures_
- _Coordinate and follow up on meetings with the Director of Engineering. _
- _Provide follow up reports for the Director of Engineering_
- _Document walkthrough of the entire property with the Director of Engineering and other Management members. Develop and maintain a checklist for the walkthrough and follow up the deficiencies on a continuing basis_
- _Maintain engineering inventory, make list of parts & equipment required for daily operations _
- _Obtain quotes, purchase engineering supplies, co-ordinate service and repairs with outside contractors._
- _Prepare and maintain records of purchase orders, and follow accounting procedures._
- _Maintain records of service work to meet or exceed local, provincial and federal Building and Occupants safety regulations; includes fire, and all safety. _
- _Generation of weekly and monthly maintenance reports as required_
- _Compilation of reports as outlined above and to compose routine correspondence as necessary_
- _Complete any maintenance/housekeeping related tasks requested by management not included in the scope of this description_
- _Attend and minute maintenance staff meetings _
**Qualifications**
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Hotel or related industry; preferably within a luxury environment.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- Proficient in MS Office, Opera and possess strong written, verbal and people skills
