Head Pastry Chef

We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry department. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pastry production, including menu development, recipe creation, and team management.
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Develop and execute creative and innovative pastry recipes and menu items
- Lead and mentor a team of pastry chefs and assistants
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Manage inventory and ordering of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate pastry offerings with overall menu offerings
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into pastry offerings
- **Requirements**:_
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with at least [5] years in a leadership role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creative flair and ability to develop unique and appealing pastry recipes
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
**Experience**:
- Baking: 5 years (preferred)
