We are seeking a Line Cook to support our Food and Beverage team. This is a part-time, casual position, supporting the Executive Chef with food preparation for our restaurant and catering operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare ingredients then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes.
- Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at workstation and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery of service.
- Maintain a clean work area, including kitchen equipment, cooking surfaces, tables, and shelves while complying with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards.
- Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products to provide an excellent dining experience,
- Performs inventory checks and food storage logs.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of and proven experience, normally acquired through a combination of formal and informal training and work and/or volunteer experience as a line, restaurant or prep cook.
- Well developed oral and written communication to interact with a broad range of staff and contractors to gather and verify information, resolve problems and provide guidance.
- Organizational skills required to prioritize work activities, prepare high quality food in a timely manner and ensure a safe and hygienic work area.

**Working Conditions**:

- Position is required to work both indoors and outdoors. Ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional cooking equipment as found in a typical kitchen environment.
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Day, evening weekend and holiday shifts as required to support operational needs weekend work required.
- Ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
