**About us**

**Hagerty Garage + Social**, a premium garage for vintage and collectible car owners, has an opportunity for a **Line/Prep Cook.**

**What You'll Do**
- Prepare and cook menu items following standard recipes and guidelines
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies and equipment
- Chop, slice, and portion ingredients for use in recipes
- Grill, sauté, fry, or bake food items to order
- Monitor food cooking time and temperature to ensure proper doneness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and service
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
- Follow instructions from head chef or kitchen manager
- Work efficiently to ensure timely preparation of meals during busy periods
- Rotate and store food items properly to minimize waste
- Report any kitchen equipment issues or malfunctions to management
- Uphold high standards of food presentation and plate garnishing
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or chef.
- Work with other Hagerty team members on an as needed basis to create the best possible member experience

- Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of customer service
- Proficient knowledge of food safety protocols
- Valid food handlers certificate
- Must be available to travel for events and work nights and weekends
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Impeccable attendance record
- Must be able to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for long periods of time)
- Experience in previous foodservice operation

**Qualifications**:
2+ years as a professional line cook in a high volume restaurant or other similar food service environment.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in cold, hot, and humid environments.
- Must be able to remain calm and focused in such a fast-paced environment.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
