Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will carry on the HR functions and responsibilities of five stores, including the following locations: Toyota On The Park, Lexus On The Park, Scarborough Toyota, Wilson Niblett Motors.
**As a Human Resources Generalist, a typical day might include the following**:
- Manage the talent acquisition and full-cycle recruitment process
- Conduct new-hires onboarding and manage the orientation process
- Provide support to employees in various HR topics such as leave of absence, HR policies, benefits or any other related HR matters
- Create, update, and maintain company policies and procedures across all brands; with a dedication to a continuation of employee development
- Administer the group benefits plan specific to short-term, long-term disability, and re-enrollment
- Support leaders through the performance management cycle; job evaluation; coaching through performance issues; enforcing proper process; and creating performance improvement plan
- Work in partnership with the WSIB for any work-related injuries or illnesses and return to work programs as required
- Resolve Ministry of Labour, Human Rights and/or legal claims
- Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings
- Ensure compliance with Ontario’s Employment Standard Act/labor regulations
- Other HR duties as assigned
**This job might be right for you if**:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources/Labour relations/Business Administration
- At least 2-3 year of experience as Human Resources Generalist
- Experience with ADP and/or other HRIS software systems
- Completion of CHRP designation
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of Ontario’s Employment Standard Act
- Certification in JHSC is an asset
- Previous similar Automotive experience an asset.
