Ecommerce Manager
Location: Burnaby, BC (In-person)
**Salary**: $60,000 - $90,000 per year
Company Overview:
Ultimate Tools is a Vancouver-based ecommerce company specializing in the sale of high-end tools for professional woodworkers. With a focus on quality, craftsmanship, and innovation, we aim to provide our customers with the best tools and equipment available in the market. We're currently seeking a skilled Ecommerce Manager to expand our online presence and build our brand identity.
Position Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
Website Management & Optimization:
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the ecommerce website (Shopify).
- Manage products and orders through NetSuite and Celigo integration.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our e-commerce website and create the best customer experience on ultimatetools.ca to maximize conversion and enhance user engagement and ultimately drive sales.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute comprehensive ecommerce marketing strategies to increase online sales and enhance customer acquisition.
- Continuously identify and implement opportunities to enhance the shopping experience through site optimization, design and functionality.
- Implement and maintain Shopify apps to enhance site functionality, such as SellEasy, Intuitive Shipping, and Affirm.
- Analyze website traffic, user behavior, and conversion funnels to identify areas for improvement, using a data driven approach to optimize opportunities.
- Manage multiple product variants, ensure inventory is live on the site and product information & description is represented accurately.
- Prepare reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement, including monthly and hero campaign reporting.
- Create new website and landing pages in collaboration with marketing.
- Own accuracy of information presented on the website and collaborating with operations to update as needed.
Customer Relations & Fulfillment:
- Collaborate with the shipping department to oversee the fulfillment process, ensuring orders are processed efficiently and accurately. Utilize ShipStation to manage and streamline shipping operations, ensuring timely delivery of orders and enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing knowledgeable and friendly service that reflects the high standards of Ultimate Tools. Your role is crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty, directly impacting our brand’s reputation and online sales performance.
- Work closely with the operations team to monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that product availability aligns with customer expectations and website accuracy.
Marketing & Strategy:
- Contribute to the creative development, execution, and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Analyze market trends, customer data, and sales performance to inform strategies.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns, including those driven by vendor timelines and new product launches.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to source visual assets, update product pages, and implement sales.
- Act as the boots on the ground for in-store support on events and generate content for social media.
Qualifications:
- A strong understanding of the professional woodworking industry is an asset.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce & marketing trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both internal teams and external clients.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of ecommerce, digital marketing, or online retail experience.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Working knowledge of project management & communication tools such as Asana and Slack.
- Experience managing 1000+ SKUs in an ecommerce environment
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills are vital, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with various team members.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Deep knowledge of Shopify, understanding of how to update product listings, manage inventory, apps, building pages and shipping within the platform
- Proficiency with web analytics tools including GA4 and Shopify analytics
- Understanding of conversion rate optimization and customer centric UX/UI design.
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making mindset.
- Working knowledge of performance marketing.
Working Conditions:
- Regular office hours, in person 5 days/week
- Occasional travel may be required for industry events or meetings.
