Richmond Music School Society (RMS) is the largest and oldest community music school in Richmond dedicated to high standards in teaching music, in both private and group settings. It enjoys a leadership position throughout Greater Vancouver for its many student performances and innovative programs. The Richmond Music School is a registered charity and the Canadian representative of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), a music examination board based in London, UK.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Richmond Music School Society is seeking a **full-time Volunteer and Recruitment Coordinator (VRC)** to start as soon as possible. The VRC will be responsible for leading and coordinating a project on the development of a volunteer management system for RMS.

This is a fixed term position with an expected end date of June 30, 2024.

Key duties include:

- Work with the external consultant to assess our current volunteer engagement practices, identify elements required for a robust volunteer management system, define the appropriate volunteer structure for RMS, define volunteer management CRM requirements, identify succession planning requirements for key volunteers, and draft and finalize key strategies for working with volunteers
- Develop training manuals
- Recruit new volunteers and train them based on the new volunteers framework
- Build, test, and implement volunteer management CRM
- Conduct trainings to RMS staff and committee to manage the volunteer managements system
- Develop volunteer database
- Transfer knowledge to RMS staff and committee at the end of contract term
- Provide oversight to the project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget
- Other related duties as assigned

The work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with work from home arrangement possible (approx. 2-3 days per week remote work to start). Compensation for this position is based upon qualifications and experience.
