Are you passionate about legislative processes and information management? Morinville is looking for an Information Management and Legislative Services Administrator to play a pivotal role on our Information Management and Legislative Services team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both the legislative and information management spheres of our town’s governance.
Reporting to the Manager, Communications and Legislative Services, the Information Management and Legislative Services Administrator job is diverse and complex due to multifaceted administrative duties, information management responsibilities, legislative compliance, tight timelines, confidentiality requirements, and collaboration with various stakeholders. This role involves coordinating tasks within a highly regulated environment while ensuring accuracy and efficiency and the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure situations.
**Your Impact**:
- Within Information Management, the administrator is responsible for organizing and retrieving records, documents, and data, actively contributing to implementing the Records and Information Management Strategy.
- The administrator aids the Legislative Services team in various activities, from Council meeting coordination to participation in Census, Elections, and Board/Committee recruitment.
- This position supports all legislative functions, including tracking legislative requirements, facilitating compliance, and supporting legislative initiatives while adhering to stringent deadlines.
- This position serves as the primary support and backup for the Legislative Services Coordinator and the Records and Information Management Coordinator.
- Essential qualifications include proficiency in administrative skills, a firm grasp of legislative requirements, and an aptitude for information management.
**Who We're Looking For**:
- Records Management Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 to 3 years direct and related experience, preferably with Local Government Information Management environment and/or meeting management at a municipal level.
- Meeting management experience, preferably in a municipal environment.
- Experience working with Electronic Records Management Software (ERMS).
- Experience working with eSCRIBE Meeting Management Software an asset.
- Training and knowledge of Public Body responsibilities under the Alberta Freedom of Information Act, Protection of Privacy Act, the Municipal Government Act, and the Local Authorities Election Act.
- Knowledge and understanding of Robert’s Rules of Order an asset.
**Compensation/Hours of Work**:
Annual salary range of $55,073 to $65,760 (7 Step Grid), based on a 35-hour work week. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including Pension, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
