Administration of the Town of Morinville prides itself in creating a lasting legacy for Morinville, and does so with service, integrity, and commitment at the heart of our work. We are seeking a **full-time Human Resources Advisor** who will deliver such a legacy through their work.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resource Services, the HR Advisor is responsible for aligning organizational and departmental objectives with employees while providing a wide variety of both complex and routine services and hands
- on support. The HR Advisor will assist the Manager with administering various HR initiatives and carries out the day-to
- day operations and administration of HR programs, policies, and procedures in both a unionized and out of scope environment. This position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to all employees that reflects the strategic and business objectives of the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Review and respond to day-to-day HR inquiries to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services.
- Key areas of focus include the full employee life cycle (talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, offboarding); employee and labour relations; employee engagement; coaching & mentoring HR Generalist; providing guidance, advice, and support to management; policy & procedure development, evaluation, and implementation; and legislative compliance.
- Creation, generation, and analysis of HR/organizational metrics to provide feedback and recommendations to the Manager based on data analysis.
- Interpretation of the Collective Agreement and is the main employer contact for union business on all labour relations inquiries, concerns, or grievances in relation to the Collective Agreement.
- Facilitates return-to-work meetings with employees and supervisors, including any required accommodation.
- Collaborate with supervisors & managers to understand skills and competencies required for positions while facilitating recruitment, training and development, performance management, and succession planning needs.
- Initiates and completes internal workplace investigations as required.
- Maintain knowledge of current legislation and regulations, trends, best practices, and new technologies in HR and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Partner with management to communicate HR programs, policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive workplace culture.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, labour relations, or equivalent education. _(Note: combinations and equivalencies of education and experience may be considered)_
- CPHR Designation (or currently in progress) is an asset.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience of progressively responsible and direct HR generalist experience.
- Experience in working with Collective Agreements in a unionized work environment is required.
- Ceridian Dayforce and experience with HRMS module implementations is an asset.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

**Compensation/Hours of Work**:
Annual salary range of $95,770 to $114,354/annum (7step grid), based on a 35-hour work week. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including pension, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
