**Your Role in Snapshot**:
The purpose of the Career Services Coordinator is to ensure that students gain hands-on experience in their field and graduates find gainful employment in their chosen career field or a related field, by managing the career services program and acting on our commitment to our students and achieving successful graduate employment rates. Under supervision of the Campus Director and Regional Career Services Director, the Career Services Coordinator is responsible for providing programs and support for students and alumni regarding practicum, career and employment opportunities and advice, achieving students achieve learning objectives and successful graduate employment rates that meet or exceed company standards.

**Salary**: $43,000 - $45,000 Annually

**Your Day-to-Day**:
The Career Services Coordinator will at various times be responsible for the following as well as other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the Company:
**Developing external relationships to build practicum placements and job leads to ensure students and graduates are informed of openings within their industry by**:

- Establishing and fostering effective relationships with local and regional businesses, organizations, and community partners to identify and secure practicum and employment opportunities.
- Working with the Career Services team to create and deploy creative methods to reach the population and industry, including strong campus marketing platforms, job lead generation and employer partnership.
- Collaborating with host organizations to confirm customer satisfaction and identify issues that may arise and ensure they are dealt with in an effective and sensitive manner.
- Expanding the network of potential practicum hosts to increase the variety and quality of practicum placements.
- Building a strong brand in the community and recruiting employer interaction through graduate interviews and employer presentations.
- Conducting call blitzes to participate in the relationship building and expanding the employers list.

**Collaborating with Instructors to determine practicum placement experiences for students through**:

- Collaborating and consulting with Instructors to determine the educational requirements for practicum experience.
- Assisting Instructors in evaluating the appropriateness of practicum experiences.

**Contributing to and monitoring the quality of the student experience, including practicums and the job search process by**:

- Taking the necessary steps and communicating with the relevant parties to ensure students are going on work placement as outlined in our policies and adhere to compliance standards
- Communicating with all staff, students, hosts in a timely and a professional manner (Verbal and written)
- Coaching, supporting and developing relationships with both the graduated and currently enrolled students.
- Matching students with practicum placements within the required timeframe, based on the program requirements, individual interests, strengths and areas for development.
- Mentoring, coaching and facilitating students and graduates in effective job search activities such as graduate interview preparation and resume and cover letter writing, career goal assessments and personal appearance.
- Monitoring practicum placements by liaising with host organizations and students to ensure a positive experience for all parties.
- Ensuring all practicum and employment file paperwork is on file for the students assigned.
- Providing workshops and training to prepare for job readiness including interview preparation, resume preparation, and more.
- Visiting and assessing new host sites and maintaining up to date records of all sites used.
- Bridging employer needs and employment opportunities to our graduate population.
- Participating in research and analysis of employment trends and informing students and graduates of changes in the job market.
